CLP has, for the first time in its history, had a successful judgement before the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Buckland -v- The United Kingdom. Click here to read the judgement itself and/or click here to see the Travellers’ Times blog explaining the article.
High Court Planning Success
Congratulations to Stephen Cottle of Garden Court Chambers and Parminder Sanghera for their success on behalf of our client, Charmaine Moore in her High Court Planning Appeal.
David Watkinson
David Watkinson of Garden Court Chambers has been one of the most outstanding Barristers fighting for housing rights and especially fighting for Gypsy and Traveller rights over the years. He is retiring at the end of December 2012. The Partners from CLP attended his retirement do at Garden Court Chambers. He has been involved in some of the leading cases involving Gypsy and Traveller and Housing rights. He will leave a big gap but we wish him all the best in his retirement.
New Arrivals
CLP were very sorry to hear that Tyndallwoods are no longer going to be doing Legal Aid work. However, we are very glad to be joined by two former members of Tyndallwoods, Simon Foster and Samitra Balu. Simon was formerly head of the Housing Department at Tyndallwoods and has over 25 years of experience in housing law. Samitra has specialised in housing law since 2002. We are very pleased to welcome both of them to the firm.
